Our unique construction technique, using staves cut from carefully dried prime hardwood, ensures superior quality to our congas. The ultra-solid stainless steel hardware includes 3/8” diameter lugs, ans is guaranteed for life.

Custom Cubano Series Congas
A line of congas combining traditional style with modern design.
This instrument is the top Moperc's line of congas. Its traditional look faithfully respect the style of tumbadoras made in Cuba. This congas derives its powerful sound from maple construction, sought after by drum set makers and now applied dy Moperc in crafting these fine hand drums. Highly responsive, they provide awesome volume without extra effort. The Custom Cubano Series Congas delivers brillant tonality, cutting slaps and deep, sustained bass required by Afro-Cuban styles such as bembe and rumba. This very popular model benefits from the exceptional qualities of ash and is decorated with motifs carved into the wood's surface, wich makes it one of the most elegant of Moperc's drums. Moperc is especially proud to introduce a brand new line of congas: The Salsa club series Congas. Their unique avant-garde design has rapidly made these drums a hot item among professionals.
With the warm sound quality of ashwood and carefully controlled shell thickness, these congas have a strikingly melodious sound with more than ample volume. The skin tension is distributed over almost the entire length of the drum by enlongated anchor plates, resulting in a powerful, dominating sound.
