Handcrafted in canada

Over time, bongo makers have tinkered with the shape and size of the bongo in an effort to gain a more “modern appearance” while sacrificing the instrument’s ability to project.
Original bongos were cylindrical and could be heard for great distances. So are the drums made by MOPERC but that’s where the comparison to these first instruments stops.

MOPERC bongos come in a variety of woods allowing you to “personalize” your sound (softer wood = softer tone). The hand forged stainless steel hardware provides a beauty and durability not found on commercially manufactured drums. And the BEST part: the junction block joining the macho and hembra is IMBEDDED into the shells (a MOPERC innovation), eliminating the possibility of splitting at the bolt holes. MOPERC bongos have become the first choice of professional percussionists worldwide because there are noticeable differences and those differences matter.

Music would be pretty boring without hands, so we need to preserve them. It may be time for you to step up to a MOPERC bongo. Your hands (and your bandmates) will thank you.
