When comparing the 144 square foot “shop” where the first MOPERC conga drum was made with the current 6,000 square foot facility that houses modern, high speed equipment and several artisans, it is clear that the mindset toward continuous improvement is driven by passion rather than by profit.
Michel Ouellet builds his first djembe.
Michel Ouellet Percussion becomes a registered name.
The name Moperc was created.

Francis Mercier visits the Moperc shop for the first time and gets his first drum.
