Since moving to a new 6000 square foot shop, MOPERC has invested in tools that not only speed up the manufacturing process, but do so with greater precision than ever. Now, staves are cut to the exact angles required for airtight shells and a high speed lathe turns the shells quickly and accurately and the industrial paint booth maintains even distribution of stain paint and varnish while assuring worker and environmental safety. What Does It All Mean? First, if it was ever possible, the quality of MOPERC congas, bongos and other drums has improved. Second, the lead time between order and delivery has decreased from several months to around 5 weeks. And very importantly, MOPERC now keeps a rotating inventory of special collections like the Poncho Sanchez signature congas and the new 30th Anniversary limited editions. 30th Anniversary
